甲子传承，飞跃无限！
亚庇篮总庆祝六十大寿了！配合这个大日子，展开了将近一年的筹备，订于2018年6月10日假丹容里拔不夜天皇宫宴会厅举行盛大的庆典晚宴，届时将筵请州内各地的篮运人仕、篮坛先贤、赞助商及各方代表参与其盛。
当晚，主办当局将准备丰富的晚餐及精彩的节目，希望可以出席者们尽兴而归。
而且配合这项庆典晚宴，主办当局盼可以筹募基金充作未来发展的用途，故而敬请大家购票支持，当晚也会赠送纪念品予出席者们。
为了让大家见证“亚庇篮总的辉煌六十年”，主办当局在当晚正式发行一本精美全色彩的纪念特刊，与亚庇篮总的历史资料一起留存于后世。
为了让今次庆典与众不同，亚庇篮总也首次别开生面主办“SPRITZER飞鹰之行”(SPRITZER EAGLES FUN RUN)的乐趣漫跑，将召集各界人仕一起漫步丹容里拔行人道，一起感受亚庇的日出美景。
他指出，这项长达九公哩的漫跑活动，将安排在6月10日早上举行，希望可以号召亚庇市民参与，推动现今最流行的健康活动，也一起唤醒关注篮球运动的乐趣之旅。
配合这项活动，亚庇篮总将广邀至少千人参与其盛，希望亚庇市民们一起在当天活动上享受海边的日出美景，暂时忘掉繁忙的城市生活，大家一起携手阳光漫步，放松一下心情。
由于这项活动旨在配合庆典推动健康活动，而不会设有竞赛的项目，凡是报名的出席者皆获得奖牌及赠品等，而且完成整项九公哩的漫步也获得抽奖的机会。
随着从街头掀起的三对三篮球的热潮席卷全球后，亚庇篮总经过了逾一年的准备，已开始筹划与国际篮联(FIBA)同步的三对三篮赛，并配合今年的庆典而展开最接地气的盛宴，不仅要把街头篮球深入亚庇市的基层，也借此协助国家培育出专注三人赛的幼苗。
为了让各阶层的球员都有机会在场上挥洒自己的汗水，将在两个月内举办两个分站的赛事，公开于男女的14岁以下、16岁以下、18岁以下、20岁以下及成年人仕参与其盛，并有丰富的奖金等候你们来赢取。
参加者勿论是否可以晋级，皆可获得纪念金牌、T恤与其他赠品，而且提前报名也享有特别的优惠。
由于每个分站只供不同年龄层参赛，因此参赛者们必须留意最新的消息，与大家一起为三对三篮球赛疯狂！
亚庇篮总配合2018年的六十周年庆典推出了限量版的三合一纪念金牌，即由三面金牌组成，若有兴趣拥有这完整的纪念牌配套,必须参加亚庇篮总所主办的一系列活动,才可获得主办当局配给。

Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) is celebrating its 60th Anniversary! To commemorate this grand milestone, after nearly a year of meticulous preparation, a spectacular Anniversary Gala Dinner will be held on June 10, 2018, at the Port View Palace Hall, Tanjung Lipat. Basketball enthusiasts from across the state, pioneers of the sport, sponsors, and various representatives are cordially invited to join this prestigious event.
The organizers have curated a lavish dinner and an exciting program for the evening, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests. Furthermore, this gala serves as a fundraising effort for future development. We warmly welcome everyone to support us by purchasing tickets. All attendees will also receive a special commemorative souvenir.
To witness the “60 Years of Glory,” KKBA will officially launch an Exquisite Full-Color Commemorative Magazine during the dinner, documenting the association’s history for future generations.
The Spritzer Eagles Fun Run
To make this celebration truly unique, KKBA is hosting its first-ever “SPRITZER EAGLES FUN RUN.” This event invites the public to stroll along the Tanjung Lipat waterfront and soak in the breathtaking sunrise of Kota Kinabalu.
- Distance: 9km Fun Run.
- Time: Morning of June 10, 2018.
- Objective: To promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness for the joy of basketball.
The association aims to gather at least 1,000 participants to enjoy the coastal sunrise together, stepping away from the hustle and bustle of city life for a relaxing morning walk. As this is a non-competitive event focused on health, every registered participant will receive a medal and gift packs. Those who complete the 9km walk will also be eligible for a Lucky Draw.
FIBA-Synchronized 3×3 Basketball Tournament
With the global surge of 3×3 street basketball, KKBA—after over a year of planning—is launching a 3×3 Basketball Tournament in sync with FIBA standards. This “grassroots feast” aims to embed street basketball into the local community and help the nation nurture young talents specialized in the 3-on-3 format.
- Categories: U14, U16, U18, U20, and Open Categories (for both Men and Women).
- Format: Two qualifying legs held over two months.
- Prizes: Generous cash prizes are up for grabs!
Regardless of advancement, all participants will receive a commemorative gold medal, a T-shirt, and other gifts. Early-bird registrants will enjoy special discounts. Please stay tuned for the latest updates regarding age-specific dates and join the 3×3 basketball craze!
The Limited Edition “3-in-1” Commemorative Medal Set
In conjunction with the 2018 Diamond Jubilee, KKBA has released a Limited Edition 3-in-1 Commemorative Medal Set. This unique set consists of three interlocking medals. To own the complete set, participants must join the following series of events:
- The Eagles Fun Run: Participants receive the Left piece of the medal.
- The Anniversary Gala Dinner: Attendees receive the Middle piece of the medal.
- The 3×3 Tournament: Participants receive the Right piece of the medal.
SPRITZER飞鹰之行
亚庇篮总也首次别开生面主办“SPRITZER飞鹰之行”(SPRITZER EAGLES FUN RUN)的趣味漫跑，将召集各界人仕一起征服亚庇市的升旗山，而且也有较为轻松的绕市漫跑。
据筹委会主席黄奕钧指出，这项长达九公哩的漫跑活动，将安排在6月10日早上举行，希望可以号召亚庇市民参与，推动现今最流行的健康活动，也一起唤醒关注篮球运动的乐趣之旅。
今次活动乃获得本地著名漫跑主办单位Rojak Runners的携手合作下，相信可以在本地掀起一番热潮。
他指出，虽说亚庇篮总以主办篮球活动为主，但是为了配合今年的六十周年创会庆典，希望可以搞些别开生面的活动，而且今次也难得获得了国内著名矿泉公司SPRITZER诚意赞助，希望透过州内时兴的漫跑运动，借此唤醒大家关心健康及运动的乐趣，因为早鸟报名过后将恢复至70令吉。
他继指出，主办当局已正式公开民众报名，即早鸟报名(EARLY BIRD)只有60令吉，学生（十八岁以下）报名只须50令吉而己。
凡是报名参加的人仕即可获得亚庇篮总限量版的金牌、精美T恤与纪念品，而且完成九公哩的人仕可以参
黄氏形容，有关的纪念版金牌只送不卖，只有到达现场参赛的人仕才可以获得，因此希望有兴趣奖牌的人仕不要错过这个机会。
至于今次“SPRITZER飞鹰之行”的漫跑路线，将从丹容里拔海边沿着骑脚车路线前往敦慕斯达华大厦（前沙基金局大厦），再从该处的交通岛转回至丹容里拔。
SPRITZER Eagles Fun Run
Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) is hosting its first-ever “SPRITZER EAGLES FUN RUN,” a unique and engaging event. This run invites the public to come together to conquer Signal Hill in Kota Kinabalu, alongside a more relaxed route that circles the city.
According to the organizing chairman, Mr. Ng Eick Kium, this 9km fun run is scheduled for the morning of June 10. The event aims to mobilize the citizens of Kota Kinabalu to participate in today’s most popular health-conscious activity, while simultaneously awakening interest in the joy of basketball.
This event is held in collaboration with the well-known local running organizers, Rojak Runners, and is expected to spark a new trend in the local community.
Mr. Ng pointed out that while KKBA primarily focuses on basketball events, they wanted to host something refreshingly different to celebrate the association’s 60th Anniversary. He also noted the generous sponsorship of SPRITZER, the nation’s renowned mineral water company. The goal is to use the popular trend of fun runs to promote health and fitness awareness.
Public registration is now officially open. Participants are encouraged to sign up early as fees will return to the standard price of RM70 after the early bird period.Early Bird: RM60,Students (Under 18): RM50
All registered participants will receive a Limited Edition KKBA Gold Medal, an exquisite event T-shirt, and souvenirs. Those who complete the full 9km route will also be eligible for a Lucky Draw.
Mr. Ng emphasized that the commemorative gold medals are not for sale; they are exclusive gifts for participants who show up and complete the run. Medal enthusiasts are urged not to miss this rare opportunity.
Route: The “SPRITZER Eagles Fun Run” will start from the Tanjung Lipat waterfront, follow the cycling path toward the Tun Mustapha Building (formerly Sabah Foundation Building), and loop back to Tanjung Lipat at the roundabout.
3 X 3”三人竞赛
至于另一项庆典活动，则是“3 X 3”三人竞赛，这乃响应国际篮联的新赛制下，亚庇篮总首次举办盛大的三人赛发展计划，以期开拓州首府基层的三人赛幼苗，培育出杰出的好手为本州及国家争取佳绩。
据亚庇篮总署理主席兼筹委会主席吴宪盛指出，是项“三对三”篮球赛事原订在5月5日及6日，因与全国大选撞期而展延至5月12日及13日在里卡士体育馆户外篮球场举行。
他形容，与往年赛事所不同的是，今届赛事是完全依照国际篮(FIBA)的积分法，所有参赛的球员将会自动累积分数，以便可以参加更高水平的国际赛事。
他说，亚庇篮总已准备了逾半年的时间，包括邀请大马篮总举行讲座会、进行比赛测试及投入筹备等工作，终于掌握了三对三赛制及规划，将率先在州内展开全新面貌的街头赛事。
他希望本地球员们踊跃参与其盛，投入目前风靡全球的“小场地，大动作”时兴赛事，甚至将来会把传统赛事反转过来。
他说，配合今年庆典将至少主办两个分站的赛事，率先登场的是5月12日至5月13日的第一站赛事，此站的分龄组别为男女20岁以下、男女17岁以下及男女15岁以下，至于第二站（6月30日至7月1日）赛事的分龄组别为男女宿将组、男女公开组、男女18岁以下、男女16岁以下、男女14岁以下及小学组(男女12岁以下)。
他说，凡是参赛的球员可以获得精美的T恤及限量版的金牌，而且赢得冠军可获得四百令吉奖金及奖杯，亚军则有二百令吉奖金及奖杯。
他继指出，主办当局将在寻觅更多的赞助商，希望比赛当天可以赠送更多礼物予参赛者们。
在5月12日至5月13日举行的首站两天赛事顺利完成，沙巴篮总会长潘志勇亲临主持颁奖典礼。
据指出，这也是亚庇篮总第一次完全依据国际篮联的积分制度，成功吸引62支队伍参与其盛打响了首炮。
“3×3” Basketball Tournament
Another major highlight of the anniversary celebrations is the “3×3” Basketball Tournament. In response to the new competition formats introduced by FIBA, Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) is launching its first large-scale 3×3 development project. The initiative aims to cultivate grassroots 3×3 talent within the state capital and nurture elite players to achieve success for both the state and the nation.
According to Mr. Ng Shin Sheng, Deputy President of KKBA and Organizing Chairman, the “3×3” tournament—originally scheduled for May 5 and 6—was postponed due to the General Election. It will now take place on May 12 and 13 at the Likas Sports Complex Outdoor Basketball Courts.
Mr. Ng highlighted that, unlike previous tournaments, this edition strictly adheres to the FIBA points system. All participating players will automatically accumulate points, paving the way for them to qualify for higher-level international competitions.
He noted that KKBA spent over six months preparing for this launch, which included hosting seminars with the Malaysia Basketball Association (MABA), conducting trial matches, and rigorous planning. Having fully mastered the 3×3 regulations, KKBA is now ready to lead the charge in bringing this fresh “street-style” competition to the state.
“Small court, big action”—this format is taking the world by storm, and we hope local players will dive into this trend that may eventually revolutionize traditional basketball.
Tournament Schedule & Categories
The association plans to host at least two tournament legs as part of this year’s festivities:
- Leg 1 (May 12 – May 13):Categories: Boys & Girls U20, U17, and U15.
- Leg 2 (June 30 – July 1):Categories: Men’s & Women’s Veteran, Open, U18, U16, U14, and Primary School (U12).
Every participant will receive an exquisite T-shirt and a limited-edition gold medal. The prize structure for the winners is as follows:
- Champion: RM400 cash and a trophy.
- Runner-up: RM200 cash and a trophy.
The organizers are actively seeking more sponsors to provide even more gifts and giveaways for the participants on match days.
The first leg, held on May 12 and 13, concluded successfully with Mr. Phan Chee Yong, President of the Sabah Basketball Association, attending to preside over the prize-giving ceremony.
This inaugural event under the official FIBA scoring system was a resounding success, attracting 62 teams and getting the 3×3 movement off to a flying start.
在20岁以下男子决赛中，由四位少年州手(吴凯杰，吴俊霏，雷景隆，杰福利)所组成的KOOHEN. CO，虽然遇上了实力不相上下的UJANA KINGFISHER，但是发挥非常稳定，最终以10比7打败了对手拿下了冠军。
反观，男子17岁以下决赛却打得难分难解，由曾靖翔，廖俊文，德思蒙和彭子浩组建的CELESTIALS，虽然身高较为占优，但是遇上彭鸿彬，张康宏，邢益炜和詹兴业的WAKANDA，却没办法领先，甚至在时间结束后，只打成9平而己，不过在加时战，彭子浩在外线出手命中，才以两分之差登上了冠军的宝座。
同时，男子15岁以下决赛也是一场硬战，凭着崇正双塔的吴旭阳与江浚业，再加上陈泓铭与陈宝竣，A WHOLE NEW WORLD队备受看好能够脱颖而出，可是谢其耀，吕弘晨，萧志豪与赵梓铭所组成的MIRACLE队打得更凶悍，拼劲十足打到最后几秒只有5比6落后，岂料在响哨一刻的外线出手命中，反以7比6击败，创造本届赛事的最大奇迹。
在女子17岁以下的决赛中，四位州手（林芫安，马小宣，马薇娜，张晓瑜）的OH DAMN遇上庇中的KKKM（谢静莹，陈其玟，刘馨銮，刘恩歧），虽然庇中女将极力顽抗，但是OH DAMN依然以8比7的一分之差拿下冠军。
至于女子15岁以下的决赛，萧嘉盈与徐美珍，郑凯玟与李秀凤三人组成的4 IN ONE，完全没有悬念以5比2力压JCS2夺冠，后者是由曹雁婷，严莉萱，郭芯瑜与郑凯樱所组成的。
In the Men’s U20 Final, KOOHEN. CO—composed of four young state players (Ng Kai Jay, Ng Jun Fei, Lui Chin Lung, and Jeffry)—faced a formidable opponent in UJANA KINGFISHER. Despite the closely matched skill levels, KOOHEN. CO maintained a highly steady performance, ultimately securing the championship with a 10–7 victory.
The Men’s U17 Final, by contrast, was an absolute nail-biter. CELESTIALS, featuring Tseng Chin Hiung, Liew Chun Boon, Desmond, and Phang Tze Hao, held a slight height advantage. However, they struggled to pull ahead of WAKANDA, led by Phang Hung Bin, Chong Kang Hong, Hin Yick Wai, and Cham Hing Ye. By the end of regulation time, the score was deadlocked at 9–9. In a dramatic overtime period, Phang Tze Hao nailed a shot from the perimeter, clinching the title with a thrilling two-point lead.
The Men’s U15 Final proved to be another grueling battle. A WHOLE NEW WORLD, powered by the “Tshung Tsin Twin Towers” (Ng Xu Yang and Kong Jun Yap) alongside Tan Hong Ming and Tan Bao Jun, were the heavy favorites. However, MIRACLE—consisting of Chia Kee Yew, Loo Hung Chen, Siaw Chi Hao, and Chew Zi Ming—played with incredible aggression and tenacity. Trailing 5–6 in the final seconds, MIRACLE sank a miraculous long-range shot right at the buzzer to win 7–6, living up to their name by creating the biggest upset of the tournament.
In the Women’s U17 Final, the star-studded OH DAMN, featuring four state players (Lim Guan Ane, Mah Siu Suen, Mah Vui Na, and Chong Xiao Yu), went head-to-head with KKKM from Kota Kinabalu High School (Chia Ching Yin, Tan Kee Wen, Low Xin Luan, and Low En Qi). Despite a spirited resistance from the KKHS players, OH DAMN held their ground to take the championship with a narrow 8–7 win.
Finally, the Women’s U15 Final was a more decisive affair. The trio of 4 IN ONE (Siaw Jia Ying, Chui Mei Chen, Teh Kai Wen, and Lee Siew Fung) left no room for doubt, dominating JCS2 with a 5–2 victory. JCS2 was represented by Cho Yan Ting, Giam Li Xuan, Kwok Xin Yu, and Teh Kai Ying.
1968年与1972年冠军球员重聚一堂
为了配合今次的庆典，亚庇篮总也特地邀请了赢得1968年沙巴杯冠军的亚庇男队，因为这一届的冠军亦是亚庇篮总史上的第一个全州赛冠军，尽管已不是现今的沙巴杯，但是也是一个最具有历史价值的冠军宝座。
据指出，早年的沙巴杯是于1965年开始创办第一届，并由斗湖队连续夺冠三年，一直至1968年才由亚庇断绝了斗湖称霸之路。
当时由代主席拿督陈瑞孚带领下，丹斯里陈沛武先贤担任教练，杨孔章先则是副教练，球员有郑和西、陈仰仁、王文田、丘伟基、冯达健、陈伟严、张登运、黄观福、杨宏安、傅瑞昱先贤、李毅恒、蔡端松。
在决赛中以五分之差击败了古达队。
虽然这支冠军球队已相隔了五十年，但是皇天不负有心人，终于找到了杨宏安、冯达健及陈仰仁等多位球员，并在当天晚上颁发一个特别奖项，表扬他们当年所做出的贡献。
1972年冠军–八千金
同样的，亚庇篮总也开始了寻觅1972年冠军人马的计划，这支赢得当年全州18岁以下女子组的冠军队伍，可谓是奇迹，凭着当时的八位小妹妹，在决赛中勇挫胜算较高的山打根队，成为亚庇篮总在七十年代的惟一个冠军。
作为亚庇的首支女子冠军队伍，当时是由何玉丽、吴美兰、佘春香、陈桂清、潘丽玉、余佩芳、陈兴彩与黄爱纯的“八千金”所组成的，她们当年虽然个子矮小，但是非常拼命，由陈仰仁教练带领下脱颖而出。
至于该队中锋陈兴彩回忆说，当年在教练要求下的艰苦训练，必须爬山跑步的体能训练，让她记忆犹新。
身为幕后功臣的陈仰仁形容，从1967年开办18岁以下全州赛以来，山打根娘子军就打遍无敌手，「我的一切训练及战术就是为了针对山打根女队来进行，尤其在几位主将打出标青的表现，我们终于成功在决赛中险胜山打根。」
陈兴彩还指出，因为她们为亚庇争取了第一个荣誉，亚庇篮总主席丹斯里陈沛武当年驾着其开蓬跑车，带着她们在亚庇游车河，风头一时无俩。
为了纪念这支传奇的冠军队伍，亚庇篮总也在当天晚上颁发一个特别奖项给他。
Reunion of the 1968 and 1972 Championship Teams
To commemorate this milestone, the Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) has extended a special invitation to the 1968 KK Men’s Team, winners of the Sabah Cup. This victory holds immense historical value as it marked the very first state-level championship title in the history of KKBA.
The Sabah Cup was established in 1965, and the Tawau team dominated the first three years of the competition. It wasn’t until 1968 that the Kota Kinabalu team finally broke Tawau’s winning streak to claim the throne.
Led by Acting Chairman Datuk Tan Shui Foo, the team was coached by the late Tan Sri Henry Chin, with Yong Kon Cheong serving as assistant coach. The legendary roster included:
Tay Ho Hi, Chin Nyuk Yen, Wong Wen Tian, Hew Vui Kee, Foong Thatt Kin, Tan Vui Ngen, Chong Then Yun, Wong Kon Fook, Yong Fung On, the late Foo Sui Yu, Lee Ngit Hen, and Chua Tuan Sung.
In a thrilling final, they defeated the Kudat team by a five-point margin. Despite fifty years having passed, the organizers’ persistence paid off, as they successfully located several original players, including Yong Fung On, Foong Thatt Kin, and Chin Nyuk Yen. A special award will be presented during the gala dinner to honor their historic contributions.
The “Eight Golden Girls” of 1972
Similarly, KKBA has launched a search for the 1972 U18 Women’s Championship team. Their victory was hailed as a “miracle”—a squad of only eight young girls who defied the odds in the final to defeat the heavily favored Sandakan team, securing KKBA’s only championship title of the 1970s.
As the first-ever women’s championship team from Kota Kinabalu, the “Eight Golden Girls” consisted of:Ho Yuk Lee, Goh May Lan, Seah Choon Heong, Tan Kui Chin, Phang Lai Yuk, Yee Phui Fong, Tan Hin Choi, and Wong Oi Shun.
Though small in stature, they were incredibly tenacious under the leadership of coach Chin Nyuk Yen. Team center Tan Hin Choi recalled the grueling training sessions mandated by the coach, including mountain running for physical conditioning—memories that remain vivid to this day.
Coach Chin Nyuk Yen, the mastermind behind the victory, noted that the Sandakan women’s team had been undefeated since the U18 state tournament began in 1967. “All my training and tactics were specifically designed to counter Sandakan. Thanks to the outstanding performance of our key players, we managed a narrow victory in the final,” he explained.
Tan Hin Choi also shared a fond memory: because they had brought the first major honor to Kota Kinabalu, the then-KKBA Chairman, Tan Sri Chen Pui Vui, personally drove them around the city in his convertible sports car to celebrate—a moment of unparalleled glory. To honor this legendary team, KKBA will present a special commemorative award during the anniversary evening.

To mark its 60th Anniversary in 2018, Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) has launched a Limited Edition 3-in-1 Commemorative Medal Set. This unique set is composed of three interlocking gold medals. Those interested in owning the complete collection must participate in the series of anniversary events organized by the association to receive each specific piece.
The three commemorative events and their corresponding medals are as follows:
The Eagles Fun Run: Participants will receive the Left piece of the medal set.
Anniversary Gala Dinner: Attendees will receive the Center piece of the medal set.
3×3 Basketball Tournament: Participants will receive the Right piece of the medal set.
The funds raised through these commemorative medals will be used to finance future KKBA activities and tournaments. This 60th-anniversary celebration offers a rare opportunity for supporters to collect these medals, which will not be available for sale in the future.
Due to printing and production limits, these medals are exclusively for participants and will not be reprinted once the current stock is exhausted.
