不知不觉，迈入2023年的亚庇篮总已经六十五岁了，配合新届理事会的诞生，也在2023年6月11日，在布吉巴登的太子剧院举行盛大的「亚庇篮总创会65周年庆典晚宴」，
不仅如此，当晚也是第33届理事会宣誓就职，特地邀请了沙巴中华大会堂代总会长兼亚庇篮总永久名誉主席拿督斯里吴添泉局绅博士，受邀担任当晚主礼嘉宾，以及监誓人。
如往年一般，也邀请了多年以来在幕后支持的华社领袖们参与其盛，当晚筵开了一百席招待了各界人仕及球员们。

Before we knew it, Kota Kinabalu Basketball Association (KKBA) reached its 65th milestone in 2023. To mark this occasion and celebrate the appointment of the new Board of Directors, a grand “KKBA 65th Anniversary Celebration Gala Dinner” was held on June 11, 2023, at the Putera Theatre in Bukit Padang.
The evening also served as the Swearing-in Ceremony for the 33rd Board of Directors. The association was honored to have YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Goh Tian Chuan, JP, Acting President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS) and Permanent Honorary President of KKBA, serve as the Guest of Honour and the presiding officer for the installation.
Following tradition, leaders of the Chinese community who have provided behind-the-scenes support over the years were invited to join the festivities. The event was a massive success, with 100 tables laid out to host various dignitaries, public figures, and athletes.
The guest list included a prominent lineup of advisors and community leaders Permanent Honorary Advisor Datuk Yong Teck Lee, Honorary Advisors: Tan Sri Paul Lim, Chee Chi Vun, Chee Chi Nyen, Datuk Ng Cheng Chai, Datuk Teo Tan Hua, Datuk Kong Teng Kong, Lee See Fuk, Lim Vun Chan, Chong Kim Wah, Madam Teo Phik Yuk, Mr. Lim Chee Hiun, Mr. Yee Thien Siong, Mr. Toh Chee Kong, Mr. Yong Chin Lip, Mr. Wong Vun Gin, Mr. Chua Kok Hiang, Mr. Tai Yok Min, Mr. Lee Fuk Yen, Mr. Lee Yee Chung, Mr. Ng Nyuk Shui, Mr. Chin Sau Yen, Mr. Pan Chi Vui.
亚庇篮总主席冯春发在会上指出，每一位曾经为篮球事业奋斗过的人，都值得我们深深的敬意。正是他们的奉献精神和不懈努力，才铸就了今天亚庇篮球总会的辉煌成就。同时感谢所有的名誉顾问、赞助商及所有热心人士，还要铭记所有为篮球运动默默付出的教练、球员和篮球爱好者，是你们的奉献和坚持，为亚庇篮球总会的繁荣发展注入了强大的动力。正是在你们的共同努力下，我们的篮球事业才取得了一个又一个的辉煌成就。
他说，展望未来，亚庇篮球总会将继续秉承“团结、创新、进取、共赢”的理念，不断推动篮球运动的发展。将引导更多的青少年参与到篮球运动中，培养更多优秀的篮球人才。同时也将积极推同篮球事业，与篮球爱好者共同促进篮球事业的发展。
During the ceremony, KKBA Chairman Fung Choon Fatt highlighted that everyone who has ever fought for the cause of basketball deserves deep respect. He noted that it is their spirit of devotion and relentless effort that has built the glorious achievements the association enjoys today.
He extended his gratitude to all honorary advisors, sponsors, and enthusiasts, emphasizing the importance of remembering the coaches, players, and fans who work silently behind the scenes. Their dedication and perseverance, he said, have provided the powerful momentum for the KKBA’s prosperity.
Chairman Fung stated that moving forward, the KKBA will continue to uphold the values of “Unity, Innovation, Enterprise, and Win-Win Cooperation” to drive the development of the sport. The association aims to encourage more youth participation in basketball, cultivate and nurture outstanding basketball talent, actively promote the basketball industry alongside enthusiasts to ensure the sport’s continued growth.
